REPIC RESPONSIBLE RECYCLING POWERING COMMMUNITIES CAMPAIGN – TERMS & CONDITIONS (“RULES”)

  1. By entering this competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules.
  2. This competition is organised by REPIC Limited, REPIC House, Waterfold Business Park, Waterfold, Bury BL9 7BR, who is the promoter (“REPIC”).
  3. REPIC reserves the right to disqualify any entrant for breach of any of these Rules.
  4. This competition will run from 00:01 on 10th April 2017 to 28th July 2017. All entries must be received by 23:59 on 28th July 2017. Entries received after this time will be disqualified. Proof of submission of an entry is not proof of receipt.
  5. This competition is only open to community groups, schools, not-for-profit organisations, registered charities and other similar organisations that benefit the community (together “Eligible Organisations”) in the following ten UK regions: Argyll & Bute, Dudley, East Dunbartonshire, East Lothian, Pembrokeshire, Mid Lothian, Moray, N Lanarkshire, Isles of Scilly, Lincolnshire. Entries must be submitted on behalf of Eligible Organisations (schools, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, registered charities and other similar organisations that benefit the community) by individuals aged 18 or above and resident in the local authority area of the Eligible Organisation who are not employees of (or immediate family members of employees of) REPIC or anyone connected with this competition. Selection of participating local authority areas, determination of ‘good causes’ and ‘organisations that benefit the community’ is solely at REPIC’s discretion.
  6. Only one entry per Eligible Organisation is permitted. Late, incomplete, illegible or damaged entries will not be accepted. Subject to clause 21, no responsibility or liability can be accepted by REPIC for entries that lost, late, undelivered or damaged for any reason whatsoever.
  7. Where a school wishes to enter the competition the entry must be submitted on behalf of the school by a member of the school’s staff.
  8. To enter the competition Eligible Organisations must provide details of an electrical product they need up to the value of £500 including VAT and correctly answer the following question: [What is the name of the REPIC Robot mascot?]. The entry should then be submitted along with the name, telephone number, email and postal addresses of the Eligible Organisation via the Responsible Recycling website form [www.responsible-recycling.co.uk/powering-communities] by 23:59 on 28th July 2017. All entries become the property of REPIC upon submission and will not be returned.
  9. In the event of any dispute regarding these Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to this competition, the decision of REPIC shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
  10. One Eligible Organisation from each participating region shall be selected as a prize winner. The prize winner(s) will be chosen from all qualifying entries by a panel of judges. The winning entry in each region will be that which, in the opinion of the panel, ‘will have the biggest impact on the day-to-day operation of the Eligible Organisation’. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  11. There are ten prizes available, each of an Amazon voucher for £500. One prize will be awarded to the selected Eligible Organisation from each participating region,
  12. Amazon is not affiliated with this contest and bears no responsibility or liability for the administration, operation, judging or conduct of the contest or for the fulfilment of prizes associated with this promotion.
  13. Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash or other alternative. REPIC reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at any time. The competition prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.
  14. Prize winners will be notified on or before 15th August 2017 using the contact details provided on entry. If any prize winner does not respond by email or telephone within two weeks of the first attempt REPIC may, at its discretion, select a replacement prize winner. Prize winners will receive their prize vouchers by post by 20th September 2017.
  15. REPIC reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede this competition or these Rules in whole or in part and without prior notice or compensation.
  16. By entering the competition, entrants give REPIC an unlimited, worldwide, perpetual, royalty free, irrevocable and non-exclusive licence to use, edit, adapt and publish their entry in all media throughout the world. By entering this competition, entrants warrant that the content of their entry is their own original work and they own or have the necessary rights (including the permission of any individuals referred to or shown in the entry) to use and authorise REPIC to use all rights in the entry as set out above.
  17. The prize winners may be required to take part in publicity including use of the name of the Eligible Organisation and the individual who submitted the entry, and photographs of the winner taken by a photographer booked by REPIC of the same, in press releases, local authority brochures, and on the REPIC website. By entering this competition, entrants will be deemed to have given their consent to appear in publicity material or other promotional activities related to this competition. In the event that entrants subsequently withdraw consent, their entries shall no longer be deemed eligible or qualifying and, if any such entrant is a prize winner, REPIC shall have the rights to select an alternative winner and the previous winner shall not be entitled to the prize.
  18. A list of winning Eligible Organisations names and counties will be available to those sending a stamped addressed envelope no later than 6 weeks after the closing date to REPIC at the address given at paragraph 2 above.
  19. Data protection: REPIC is committed to protecting entrants’ privacy. Any information that is collected from entrants in connection with this competition will be used solely for this competition by REPIC and by the PR Company (defined below) and in any event in accordance with relevant UK data protection legislation and regulations. REPIC will not disclose any information that is collected from entrants to a third party without the individual’s prior consent (other than to HatTrickPR, 6a Framingham Road, Sale, Manchester M33 3SH (“PR Company”) or as is otherwise permitted by UK data protection legislation).
  20. REPIC will have no liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, costs or damage of any kind, resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, misuse or use of the prizes, or from participation in this competition.
  21. Nothing in these Rules shall limit REPIC’s liability in respect of death or personal injury arising out of its own negligence or arising out of fraud.
  22. English law applies to this competition and these Rules and to any disputes or matters arising from or associated with them and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
  23. Please retain these Rules for future reference. Further copies of these Rules are available on written request to REPIC, provided a stamp addressed envelope is enclosed.
  24. REPIC reserves the right to (i) disqualify any entrant which REPIC believes has breached these Rules, and (ii) select an alternative winner in respect of any prize they may have won.
